For today's hacker on the go. No need for a surf board. i just soldered my capacitors and resistors straight to the chip!

this is the first time i've used a low dropout volt regulator. it gives 5 volts out with barely more than 5 volts input. awesome! it also has a couple extra fancy pins to let you know when your batteries are low and to regulate your voltage at the load.

friendship tree

i revised the friendship tree today. i added more cushioning and brought the branches in 1.5 feet each, for a 3 ft reduction in diameter. it made a difference, though i'd like to bring them in even more. it's on wheels and is great for sitting around. it's almost ready for the big time -- i just need to figure out what the big time is.

all we did was cut out a hole for a tree and put one growing out of the middle of the table, but man did that make a huge difference. i love this table now.
